USA, Center for Justice and International Law<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Type:<\/strong> Unpaid<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gqualcampaign.org\/old\"><strong>GQUAL<\/strong><\/a><\/span> is a global campaign that seeks to promote gender parity in international tribunals and monitoring bodies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We\u2019re looking a highly-motivated, creative, proactive and detail-oriented intern to help with the campaign\u2019s communications activities. The position is hosted by the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cejil.org\">Center for Justice and International Law (CEJIL)<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This initiative will give the selected candidate hands-on experience and training in many aspects of communications and campaign development at a global level while gaining exposure to local, regional, and international human rights organizations and institutions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Tasks<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Update and maintain GQUAL\u2019s social media presence, including daily monitoring, posting, scheduling and reporting on Twitter and Facebook.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in planning, writing and managing e-blasts and e-newsletters.<\/li>\n<li>Pitch, draft, and distribute press releases, op-eds and blog posts.<\/li>\n<li>Manage editorial and event calendars.<\/li>\n<li>Design infographics, graphics, e-vites and other marketing materials.<\/li>\n<li>Update the campaign\u2019s website regularly.<\/li>\n<li>Update comprehensive database of targeted individuals, organizations, universities and individuals.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with staff on new ideas and tools for the campaign.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare campaign social media and news monitoring reports.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Firm grasp of available tools and platforms in the social media space.<\/li>\n<li>Show a strong interest for human rights<\/li>\n<li>Able to meet deadlines and work collaboratively with different groups from different cultures and affiliations.<\/li>\n<li>Graduated or working toward a college degree, preferably in a related field (e.g., English, journalism, Marketing\/Communications, Advertising or Public Relations)<\/li>\n<li>Previous internship or related experience in journalism, marketing or communications a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Must be computer literate (working knowledge of word processing, PowerPoint, Excel).<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop highly desired.<\/li>\n<li>Must have knowledge of HTML, WordPress and website content management.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent oral and written skills in English and Spanish.
