Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University and speaker at the GQUAL Launch Event, recently participated in a New York Time <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/roomfordebate\/2015\/04\/01\/the-effect-of-women-on-corporate-boards\" target=\"_blank\">Room for Debate<\/a> session which focused on the effect of having more women on corporate boards.<\/p>\n<p>Suk&#8217;s contribution to the debate focused on how gender parity could legitimize corporate governance:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Gender parity creates opportunities for a greater professionalization of board members, and for reflection on how corporate leadership should function.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Sound familiar? Similarly, GQUAL seeks to address the under-representation of women in international human rights tribunals and monitoring bodies to bolster their legitimacy, potential and impact.
