{"id":3351,"date":"2017-04-27T15:29:26","date_gmt":"2017-04-27T15:29:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gqualcampaign.org\/old\/?p=3351"},"modified":"2017-04-28T14:23:39","modified_gmt":"2017-04-28T14:23:39","slug":"3351-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gqualcampaign.org\/old\/3351-2\/","title":{"rendered":"#KeepUpthePicture: Human Rights Council\u00b4s 2017 Consultative Group must adopt &#8220;Guidelines on Gender Parity&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gqualcampaign.org\/old\/\">GQUAL Campaign<\/a>, in tandem with its partner organizations and individual members,<a href=\"http:\/\/goo.gl\/5opnqg\"> submitted a letter today<\/a> encouraging the new members of the Human Rights Council\u00b4s Consultative Group to adopt \u201cGuidelines on Gender Parity\u201d for the selection process of all UN special mandate holders.<\/h4>\n<h4>It would not be the first time that CG members adopted these measures. In June 2015, the Human Rights Council\u2019s Consultative Group (CG) adopted \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.gqualcampaign.org\/old\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/CGlettertransmittedtoPresidentHRC-23dec151.pdf\">Guidelines on Gender Parity<\/a>\u201d, to address the gender disparity in the special mandate holder selection process.
